Missions Trips

SVBC makes it possible to be personally involved in missions through short-term missions trips.  Trips are scheduled approximately every eighteen months to the island nation of Haiti, where team members are involved in a variety of activities, including evangelism, work projects, and ministries of encouragement.

SVBC works with Reciprocal Ministries International (RMI) and the Sister Church Program to minister to their Sister Church in Camp Perrine, Haiti.

Sister Church Program

The Sister Church Program is unique in all of missions.  SVBC has been involved in this one-of-a-kind mission since 2004.  Our Sister Church is the Baptist Church of Camp Perrine, Haiti. In addition to ministering in the town of Camp Perrine, we have the opportunity to minister to seven churches in the district.  These churches are often in remote, poor areas of Haiti and receive little, if any, encouragement or support.

A Sister Church is two churches from different cultures joining together in a dynamic relationship to minister to one another and together to the world. It is reciprocal, intimate, practical and spiritual relationship.

To learn more about the Sister Church Program, go to the RMI website:  Reciprocal Ministries International (RMI).
